At the gateway to downtown Nantucket from the east, ReMain purchased the land and building at 10/12 Washington Street to support public transportation initiatives.

In naming the facility “Greenhound” we sought to demonstrate that using public transit not only helps to avoid traffic congestion and parking hassles, but is the environmentally responsible way to get into town. 

Today Greenhound hosts many uses and year-round activities. In future, it will be a part of the re-birth of the area dubbed “Wilkes Square” by town planners.
