Summer Kitchens House Tour

Each year Nantucket Preservation Trust opens kitchens in a downtown neighborhood, which educates about the significance of Nantucket’s historic houses and broadens knowledge about designing new as well as retaining historic kitchens in old houses.

In sponsoring NPT’s Summer Kitchens House Tour this year, we are confident that those who participate will walk the streets with a deeper appreciation for this unique built environment, and for the community that continues to live and gather in downtown Nantucket.  We believe that a working downtown and historic preservation both strengthen lasting economic, environmental and social vitality.
